DVmedia (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the DVmedia streaming service, including the DVmedia mobile app, TV app, and website. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and mobile number, which you provide when you register or sign in.
- Authentication data — one-time passcodes sent by SMS, and, if you choose Google sign-in, the basic profile information Google shares with us.
- Subscription & payment information — the plan you choose and a record of your payments. Card and bank details are entered directly with Bank of Maldives and are processed by them; we do not receive or store your full card or bank credentials.
- Usage information — what you watch and listen to, your watch progress, and the profiles you create, so we can offer “continue watching” and recommendations.
- Device & technical information — device type, operating system, app version, and network information needed to deliver and secure the stream.
How we use your information
- To provide and personalise the service (playback, profiles, recommendations).
- To manage your account, subscription, and payments.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse, and enforce streaming and tier limits.
- To contact you about your account, subscription, and service updates.
- To comply with legal obligations.
How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the service:
- Bank of Maldives — to process subscription payments.
- SMS provider — to deliver one-time passcodes.
- Google — if you use Google sign-in.
We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service and meet legal or accounting requirements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data (see Contact).
Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.
Your choices
- Access or update your profile and account details in the app.
- Request account and data deletion by contacting us.
- Manage or cancel your subscription from your account.
Children
DVmedia is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.
